Penegakan Hukum Pidana Terhadap Perdagangan Satwa Langka Melalui Media Sosial

Abstrak

This study aims to analyze law enforcement for the crime of trading endangered species on social media based on Decision Number 217/Pid.B/LH/2023/PN.Tjk. This case involves a defendant who was charged with trading in protected animals in a living condition. The research method uses a normative and empirical legal approach, with data collection techniques through interviews and literature studies. Data is processed through a selection, classification, and compilation process, then analyzed qualitatively using the inductive method. The results of the study show that law enforcement is carried out in three stages: formulation, application, and execution. The main obstacles come from law enforcement factors, facilities and infrastructure, and lack of public awareness.
